Hello, and welcome to our wonderful school! My name is Brad Falconer and I am the head teacher here at Danehill Church of England Primary School. We have a distinctive Christian culture which underpins our school ethos. This is exemplified in our core Christian values of: enjoyment, courage, friendship, respect, forgiveness, honesty, perseverance and humility.
We are a small community of fewer than 100 pupils and a team of committed, hard-working staff who strive every day to be the best that we can be.
We encourage one another to achieve in all situations, both in school and out, and we recognise that with the proper support of staff, family and friends, we really can do anything!
Here at our school, DANEHILL really is at the centre of everything we do. We follow 8 'powers' which help us to learn effectively and be prepared for the challenges which life throws our way:
|D||Don't give up||We never give up, even when things get tough.|
|A||Ask questions||We are curious and inquisitive, constantly striving to improve our understanding.|
|N||Never be afraid to try||The greatest journeys start with a single step.|
|E||Engage and concentrate||We always do our best, even if it's not our strength. We give 100% in everything we do.|
|H||Help each other||We use Talk Partners to help us learn. There's no 'I' in team.|
|I||Imagine, Imagine||We let our imaginations run free. We are creative and open to new ideas.|
|L||Learn from your mistakes||When things go wrong we can learn how to improve for next time. 'A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor'.|
|L||Love learning||We enjoy our time at school, and are proud of our accomplishments, no matter how big or small.|
We hope you find everything you need on our website, but if you have any questions, please contact the school office using the contact details above, or arrange to pay us a visit!
We look forward to seeing you in the near future,
Local artist Mary Grant very kindly worked with our children to produce this fantastic picture of our school. We think it captures life at Danehill perfectly!
